ABOUT US
Cape Flattery Silica Mines, founded in 1967, stands as one of the world’s largest producers of high-grade silica sand. Our silica sand is essential for high-quality glass production, including the manufacture of solar power generation panels.
We are deeply proud of our enduring investment in Queensland, which has played a significant role in economic development, job creation, and support for First Nations communities. For more than 55 years, we have responsibly managed our operations while fostering strong partnerships with the local community.
With over 100 employees, we are committed to sustaining local employment through our investment in the Cape Flattery region. Our substantial infrastructure investments have been tailored to support our operations independently, featuring custom-built facilities that allow us to efficiently mine, process, stockpile, and export our products to meet the demands of a growing global market.

Environmental policy
Cape Flattery Silica Mines is committed to operating with respect for the unique and sensitive environment in which it works.Â
